Air: Ben Affleck's best directed film since Argo

Based on the true story of how Nike made a deal with Basketball legend Michael Jordan, "Air" is a fantastic sports biopic, an intelligent and engaging movie from director and star Ben Affleck. Affleck's direction is fast-paced and thought-provoking and makes you feel the pressure this company went through to sign Michael Jordan to endorse the Air Jordan sneakers. In addition to his direction, Ben Affleck performs well as Nike CEO Phil Knight. Matt Damon delivers an outstanding performance in the lead role of businessman Sonny Vaccaro. Viola Davis gives a fantastic performance as Deloris Jordan, the mother of Michael Jordan. She is portrayed as a loving and supportive mother who sees the Air Jordan as more than a shoe. It was the start of a partnership that would help play a big part in Michael Jordan's legacy. The rest of the supporting cast, comprising Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, Chris Messina, and Chris Tucker, deliver outstanding performances in this film. "Air" is a fantastic movie and an early contender for the year's best film. The film is also Ben Affleck's best film as a director since "Argo," thanks to his incredible direction, Alex Convery's masterful screenplay, and fantastic performances from Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker, and Viola Davis.
