The latest entry in the "John Wick" franchise is a fantastic spin-off that expands the universe to show other hitmen besides John Wick who will kill people to avenge the ones they love. Director Len Wiseman brings us back to the John Wick universe by creating a story about loss and seeking redemption and delivering incredible action sequences that we enjoy seeing throughout the John Wick films. Ana de Armas performs excellently as a ballerina turned assassin, Eve Macarro. Thanks to her excellent stunt work and bringing some emotion to her character, Ana de Armas delivers the best performance of her career since 2019's "Knives Out." The film also contains a great supporting cast of fan favorites as well as new actors, which includes Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Anjelica Huston as The Director, the late Lance Reddick as Charon, Ian McShane as Winston, Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Thanks to Len Wiseman's amazing direction, incredible action sequences, and an excellent performance from Ana de Armas, "Ballerina" is a fantastic action film within the "John Wick" franchise that gives fans a look at more assassins within this world and establishes that John Wick isn't the only one looking to get the job done.
