From acclaimed director, Luca Guadagnino comes a brand new romantic sports drama that is excellent, with incredible performances and fantastic editing, and contains a nail-biting tennis match that will have you on the edge of your seat. Throughout the film, we are shown a series of flashbacks during the final tennis match to show the characters' motivations in the lead to the epic battle. The use of a nonlinear structure was perfect. Zendaya, Josh O'Connor, and Mike Faist all deliver fantastic performances as the three main characters. The three of them are caught in a love triangle that results in consequences and conflicts that affect each other, and the results are handled well. Thanks to Luca Guadagnino's fantastic direction, incredible editing, and excellent performance from Zendaya, Josh O'Connor, and Mike Faist, "Challengers" is a terrific film about how three people's actions can reflect on each other both physically and mentally.
