Clayface: Tom Rhys Harries is fantastic in DC Comics first take on a horror film
As the third film in the DC Universe from producer James Gunn, director James Watkins's newest body-horror film is not just a fantastic thriller but also one of the best DC Comics adaptations. Director James Watkins does a fantastic job showing how one person with everything going for him loses it all when corruption takes hold of Gotham City. Tom Rhys Harries delivers a phenomenal performance as actor-turned-supervillain Matt Hagen AKA Clayface. With the ability to mimic other people and go through a psychological trip, Harries is unrecognizable in his performance, to the point that we can’t tell whether he is putting on an act or this is the real him talking. The film also features strong performances from the supporting cast, including Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Nancy Carroll, Joshua James, Wil Coban, Joana Ribeiro, and Eddie Marsan. Thanks to James Watkins’ incredible direction and Tom Rhys Harris's fantastic performance, “Clayface” is an excellent entry in the DC Universe and one of the best DC comic book movies in recent years.
