Coyote vs. Acme: The best film based off of the Looney Tunes
In 2022, Warner Bros created a live action/animated “Looney Tunes” movie titled “Coyote vs. Acme” that was set to be released in 2023. However, the film was canceled for several reasons, including write-offs and failure to secure a distributor. Warner Bros. and David Zaslav signed a deal to create Warner Bros. Discovery that didn’t fit the company's needs. Thanks to a strong fan petition and support, they were able to distribute the film, and the result is a smart, hilarious comedy that might also be the best film based on the “Looney Tunes.” Will Forte delivers an excellent performance as a down-on-his-luck lawyer who agrees to take on Wile E. Coyote’s case against ACME Corporation. Forte’s chemistry with Wile is fantastic because, beyond being opposites, Wile is best known for being silent and using signs to communicate. Still, even when that is shown, his real thoughts make him a very unpredictable character. The film also features great performances from the supporting cast, including Lana Condor, Tone Bell, Luis Guzmán, Martha Kelly, John Cena, and Eric Bauza as the voice of multiple Looney Tunes characters. Thanks to the film's hilarious, fantastic screenplay and an incredible performance by Will Forte alongside Wile E. Coyote, “Coyote vs. Acme” is the best film based on the “Looney Tunes.” After everything it went through to be released, the film lived up to the hype and then some.
