Creed III: A fantastic directorial debut from Michael B. Jordan

The third film in the Creed series and the ninth film in the overall Rocky franchise is a fantastic film that showcases Michael B. Jordan’s talents as both the director and the star of the film. Michael B. Jordan delivers a tremendous performance as boxer Adonis Creed for the third time in the series. However, his first effort as a director is an excellent debut. Michael B. Jordan’s direction is stylish and upbeat, and his choices in this installment are both emotional and satisfying. The supporting cast features actors returning from the previous two films, which include Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad. All of these actors give great performances in the movie. Jonathan Majors joins the series as Damian “Diamond Dame” Anderson, a former friend of Adonis Creed and the film’s main antagonist. Inspired by previous Rocky villains such as Ivan Drago, Tommy Gunn, Mason “The Line” Dixon, and especially Clubber Lang, Jonathan Majors portrays Damian Anderson as the ultimate killing machine that can’t be stopped as well as going down as one of the best villains within the franchise. After playing the villain Kang the Conqueror in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” two weeks ago, Majors once again delivers a phenomenal performance proving that he is one of the best actors of his generation. Thanks to Michael B. Jordan’s fantastic direction, amazing boxing scenes, and incredible performances by Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, and Jonathan Majors, “Creed III” is an excellent entry in the Rocky franchise that also announces to the world that Michael B. Jordan is a fantastic director and has me interested to see what he does next behind the camera.
