Final Destination Bloodlines: The best installment in the Final Destination franchise

The sixth installment in the popular supernatural horror franchise is the best one in the series because, unlike the previous films, which were focusing more on the deaths instead of storytelling, this one has a story to tell, and it’s a good one. Directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein manage to tell a compelling story about death, family, and survival while also crafting creative death sequences that we’ve come to admire in the “Final Destination” franchise. The ensemble cast, consisting of Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger, delivers great performances in the film. The addition of Tony Todd as William Bludworth, who passed away this past November, was an emotional and heartbreaking send-off to not just an iconic character but an incredible actor who left behind a fantastic legacy. Thanks to Lipovsky and Stein’s excellent direction, outstanding performances by the ensemble cast, and an emotional final performance by Tony Todd, “Final Destination Bloodlines” was a big surprise to a franchise that I wasn’t a massive fan of due to it focusing more on the deaths as opposed to telling a great story.
