Serving as a sequel to the 2019 hit “Knives Out,” director Rian Johnson returns alongside Daniel Craig to create another mystery featuring a new exciting cast of characters and hilarious twists and turns. Rian Johnson crafts an intelligent and compelling mystery that will have you rewatching it several times to find all the clues throughout the film. Daniel Craig reprises his role of detective Benoit Blanc from the first film and once again delivers an excellent performance in the lead role. Janelle Monáe plays one of the members of Blanc’s list of suspects and gives a fantastic performance in the film. Monáe plays her character as a strong femme fatale that will stop at nothing to uncover the truth of the mystery and manages to have great chemistry with Daniel Craig. The supporting cast of Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, and Dave Bautista all give great performances in the film. Thanks to Rian Johnson’s fantastic direction and screenplay, the hilarious moments, and excellent performances from Daniel Craig and Janelle Monáe, “Glass Onion” is a great follow-up to the first movie. It also manages to come off as a modern-day version of a suspense thriller by Alfred Hitchcock.
