Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire: A fun monster movie even if it's not as good as "Godzilla vs. Kong"

The fifth film in the MonsterVerse franchise and the direct sequel to “Godzilla vs. Kong” is a fun monster movie that knows how to give you a good time and not have to surpass the previous film. Adam Wingard returns to direct the next chapter in the MonsterVerse franchise. He does a good job thanks to his incredible action sequences and fantastic visual effects used to create Hollow Earth and the characters of Godzilla and Kong. Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle reprise their roles from the last film and deliver outstanding performances in this film once again. Joining the supporting cast to provide great performances include Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, Fala Chen, and Rachel House. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” may not be as good as “Godzilla vs. Kong,” but the film knows how to give you a fun monster battle, and that is thanks to Adam Wingard’s direction and the incredible visual effects used to bring Godzilla and Kong to life.
