Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: A satisfying conclusion to a great trilogy within the MCU

The final installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy saga is an emotional and satisfying conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's iconic team of intergalactic misfits. Writer/Director James Gunn returns to give us a hilarious, emotional, and action-packed film and does it all while crafting a remarkable story worthy of the Guardian's final adventure. All of the actors who we've gotten to know as these characters all return one last time to deliver fantastic performances, which include Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, AKA Star-Lord, Zoe SaldaƱa as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, and Vin Diesel as Groot. The group's standout is Bradley Cooper delivering his best performance to date as the character Rocket Raccoon. Adapting his backstory from the comics, Rocket's history is depicted as sad and tragic. After everything he's gone through in the series, the film shows how Rocket became the character we know today. Chukwudi Iwuji performs outstandingly as the main antagonist, The High Evolutionary. The High Evolutionary is showcased as the man responsible for Rocket's existence. His actions and motivations are some of the most despicable things in this franchise since Thanos wiped out half of the universe. While The High Evolutionary will go down as one of the best villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he will also be the most unlikeable first. The rest of the cast features many returning favorites and new actors to give great performances within the supporting cast, which includes Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Linda Cardellini as Lylla, Nathan Fillion as Master Karja, Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the Spacedog, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, and Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord. Thanks to James Gunn's fantastic direction and screenplay, excellent action sequences, a great soundtrack, and incredible performances from its entire cast, with the standouts being Bradley Cooper and Chukwudi Iwuji, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" is a satisfying conclusion to a great trilogy of films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the perfect way to finish off the final chapter of a book that we started reading back in 2014.
