Based on the famous ride from Disneyland, this latest adventure from Disney is just like the amusement park attraction, creative, wildly imaginative, and an atmosphere that is fun for the whole family. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt give great performances in the film, and their chemistry plays off like an action version of Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau from “The Odd Couple.” The supporting cast consisting of Jack Whitehall, Édgar Ramírez, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti give pretty good performances. Jaume Collet-Serra’s vision of the mysterious jungle is stunning. While the story is a typical by-the-numbers adventure film, the environment and visuals will leave you in a trance and give you a fun time at the theatre. Thanks to the beautiful visuals, good direction by Jaume Collet-Serra, and great performances by Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, “Jungle Cruise” is a fun adventure movie that is just as entertaining as the ride itself and offers a lot of excitement that the whole family can enjoy.
