Jurassic World Rebirth: The Jurassic Park sequel that is adequate at best

The seventh film in the “Jurassic Park” franchise is a big surprise despite having problems similar to those of the other sequels. As someone who only liked the first two movies in the series, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the film, thanks to Gareth Edwards’ direction and the fantastic visuals used to create the dinosaurs. The film also has a great ensemble cast, all delivering excellent performances, including Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. The biggest problem with the film is that the story feels like two movies wrapped into one, and the main storyline is barely developed about halfway through the film. A considerable portion of the film centers around this family, who could have been cut out of the film, and it would have made the movie so much better. “Jurassic World Rebirth” may not be the best film in the series. Still, it manages to be entertaining for the most part, thanks to Gareth Edwards’ fun direction and great performances from Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey.
Despite my desire to see Jurassic World Rebirth, which is at best a passable sequel to Jurassic Park, I chose to stick with my thesis.
