Last year, director Yorgos Lanthimos directed Emma Stone to her second Academy Award for "Poor Things," Now they have reteamed to create a bizarre anthology comedy. The film is told in three different stories that are all original, hilarious, and unique. The film has a fantastic ensemble cast, delivering great performances, including Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer. The main criticism of this film is that the runtime is two hours and forty-five minutes, and the three stories go on for a very long time. The runtime contains many pacing issues that start to get to a point where you feel the film's runtime. "Kinds of Kindness" is an interesting experiment that most people will enjoy thanks to Yorgos Lanthimos's excellent direction and fantastic performances by the ensemble cast. Still, the film's lengthy runtime might be too much for people to handle, making it a movie you don't have to rush out to see immediately and wait for it to arrive on all streaming platforms.
