The newest science fiction horror film from producer James Wan and director Gerard Johnstone is one of the most original and funniest horror film’s within the past few years. The film features excellent moments of suspense and hilarious over-the-top scenes, and M3GAN is one of the creepiest villains we have seen. M3GAN was a terrifying character to watch, thanks to the visuals and the fantastic performances of both Amie Donald and Jenna Davis, making her look and sound like a creepy robot that looks and acts like a natural person. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw also deliver great performances as the main characters who create M3GAN but must stop her once things get out of control. Thanks to Gerard Johnstone’s direction, excellent performances by Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, and a terrifying villain brought to life by Amie Donald and Jenna Davis, “M3GAN” is one of the most original sci-fi horror films since the 2020 updated version of “The Invisible Man” and an excellent way for horror to start with their 2023 slate.
