Pillion: Harry Melling and Alexander Skarsgård are great in the newest A24 dramedy

A24 is back with another film, and this time, they are exploring the world of gay men having a BDSM relationship. The film does an excellent job of balancing drama and comedy, making for a great movie that can be slow-paced at times. Director Harry Lighton does a great job of showing the highs and lows of a romantic couple’s personal lives, but at times the pacing felt too slow, making the story drag. Harry Melling and Alexander Skarsgård deliver strong performances as a romantic couple who explore BDSM and have excellent chemistry. Thanks to the great performances from Harry Melling and Alexander Skarsgård, “Pillion” may not be one of A24's best films, but it is a great love story that will make you laugh and cry for two hours. Also, the film features a lot of BDSM content, and if you're uncomfortable with that kind of material, you may not enjoy it; if you view it as art, you will.
