Ready or Not 2: Here I Come: Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton are fantastic in horror comedy sequel

Serving as a direct sequel to the 2019 horror-comedy hit, “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” is a great follow-up that expands on the story the first one started, with bigger stakes and family conflict for our two main characters. Directing duo Radio Silence returns to helm the next installment of their highly successful film from seven years ago. While the story borrows the same tropes from the original, it still manages to be a great sequel, just as good as the original. Samara Weaving reprises her role from the first film and delivers another excellent performance. Kathryn Newton delivers a great performance as Samara Weaving’s estranged sister. Their relationship in this film is broken when Weaving leaves her behind without explanation, and their growth and chemistry mature beautifully throughout. The film also features great performances from the supporting cast, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood. Thanks to Radio Silence's excellent direction and incredible performances from Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton, “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” is a great horror sequel that continues to establish the Radio Silence duo as one of the best directors of the modern horror genre.
