If there was any way to describe this movie, it's “Survivor” meets “Castaway” meets “Saw”. The newest horror-suspense film from director Sam Raimi is a nail-biter and one of the most original horror films I’ve seen in a while. Director Sam Raimi manages to bring his campy elements to a story that is slowly paced but done on purpose, so the film can build to a climax of unpredictable, insane paranoia while stranded on a deserted island. Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien deliver excellent performances as two people who are stuck on an island and must rely on their survival skills to survive with no food, water, or any means to contact for help. Thanks to Sam Raimi’s excellent direction and incredible performances from Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, “Send Help” is a fun survival-horror film that is also one of the most original horror films in recent years.
