Tron: Ares: The third film in the franchise is a fun sci-fi adventure

The third film in the famous science fiction series features excellent visual effects and fantastic action sequences that will leave you entertained in a movie that doesn’t take itself seriously. Director Joachim Rønning takes us back to the world of Tron by offering a story that appears original but plays it too safe with its elements. There are plot elements that have been done before in other films, such as corporate tycoons using machines to take over the world, a main character out of his environment, and a character who shows very little emotion. Jared Leto delivers a good performance as the title character, who is programmed to save the world from the company that created him. The film also features excellent performances from the supporting cast, which includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges, who reprises his role of Kevin Flynn from the two previous “Tron” movies. “Tron: Ares” might not be the best film in the franchise, but it keeps you entertained and glued to the screen thanks to its incredible visual effects, Joachim Rønning’s excellent direction, and great performances from the ensemble cast.
