Program for Federal Skilled Trades (FSTP)

Qualified skilled workers can apply for permanent residency in Canada under the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

A applicant must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled profession (or an equivalent amount of part-time experience) in order to be eligible for FSTP. Only work experience completed after a person has been certified to practise their trade in their home nation is taken into account, and it must have been completed within the last five years.
