Send Help: Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien are excellent in the newest survival horror film
If there was any way to describe this movie, it's “Survivor” meets “Castaway” meets “Saw”. The newest horror-suspense film from director Sam Raimi is a nail-biter and one of the most original horror films I’ve seen in a while. Director Sam Raimi manages to bring his campy elements to a story that is slowly paced but done on purpose, so the film can build to a climax of unpredictable, insane paranoia while stranded on a deserted island. Mercy: Excellent premise on paper but fails on the big screen
You ever get that feeling where you see a movie that has an awesome premise, but once you see it, you start to become bored with it? Folks, I regret to inform you that the newest action film, “Mercy,” has a great premise but feels boring within its isolated setting. The film takes place in an interrogation room, and we see everything else through AI computers, but everything comes at you very fast, so it is hard to really get a sense of what’s going on within the plot.
